Loretta

Loretta is the founder in 1981 of the worldwide known Jade East Shar-Pei kennel. The dogs would not, and could not, have been so successful without her complete dedication to the breed.

A member of the CSPCA since 1981, she was a founding member in 1982 of what eventually became known as the Greenville Chinese Shar-Pei Club. She also has been a member of the Greenville All Breed Club since the early 80's. Currently she functions as chairperson of the Top Dog and Top Veteran and the Top Producers for the CSPCA.

For years Loretta successfully raised, showed and cared for the dogs by herself. Juggling a job teaching high school biology, raising a grandson, showing most weekends, and caring for approximately 30 dogs left little time for traveling to distant dog shows. With retirement and the addition of partners, the dogs are now exhibited all over the globe.

Loretta's devotion to improve the breed has been appreciated by breeders and judges all over the world. As the Jade East dogs are exhibited all over the world, her contribution to the improvement and promotion of the breed is evident.
